OpenTTD with 32bpp Graphics and Extra Zoom on Ubuntu Linux 10.04

Just a little video showing OpenTTD with the unofficial 32bpp Graphics mod. The standard game uses less detailed graphics. There's a little stuttering here and there but that's caused by the desktop recorder, it's not in the actual game. OpenTTD is a very addictive transport simulation game based on Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It is available for free, and can be played on most platforms. See more details here: http://www.openttd.org/en/ Here is a link to the forum post showing how you can get the 32bpp graphics: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46682 The music I got from here: http://www.bl2derunner.com/

Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal Final Release Review & Tutorial

In-depth review of Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal Final Release. Feel free to skip sections of the video using the chapter timings below: 0:18 - Installation (Dual boot & Slideshow) 5:28 - Pre-Installed Software 9:36 - Desktop & Unity Features (inc Compiz) 12:49 - Installing Software (few apps to try) 14:51 - Conclusion This video is aimed more for people who are new to Ubuntu, but there is something here for everyone. I show the Unity 3D Desktop Environment in action on a full system install and cover a verity of topics including: 1: Installation - Dual booting with Windows 7 and using the automated partitioning. 2: Look at Pre-Installed Software Canonical have included on the install disk, including LibreOffice 3.3, Firefox 4, Banshee Media Player, Ubuntu One, Software Centre, Puzzle Games, and a 3D shooter. 3: Fancy Desktop Features - Tutorial on setting up Compiz effects and Coloured Mouse Cursors 4: Installing Software and suggestions of a Few Applications to try: Chromium, Gimp image editor, Inkscape vector graphic, Openshot, Zaz and Sauerbraten. 5: Conclusion 85% - A nice modern desktop environment, very easy to use, but not necessarily for everyones taste. Next version of Ubuntu (11.10) should offer a more customisable version of Unity. Website: http://www.ubuntu.com Download: http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu
