Linux test: Ubuntu Studio 10.04 LTS
*** Ubuntu = Gnome, Kubuntu = KDE, Xubuntu = Xfce und vieles mehr. Erstmal wollte ich den testen, und dann werde ich noch Xubuntu, OpenSuse usw. weiterhin testen ;)*** Linux is an excellent alternative for Windows! Here is a Software comparision: Windows | Linux MS Office | Open Office ZDSoft, Hypercam, etc. | recordMyDesktop Internet Explorer | Firefox Adobe Photoshop | GIMP Windows Media Center | Media Center Moovida Windows Movie Maker | kdenlive, cinema, Pitivi While most software under Windows needs to be charged, the open source products for Linux are normally free. Even Windows programs can be used on Linux. This used tool is called Wine. Linux is a fairly secure operating system in comparation to Windows. There are not nearly as many viruses.
